Electronic Preparation Tool
All training and consulting processes facilitated by CMIIG teams are largely focused on the value of preparedness. Experience shows that good preparation is one of the keys to success in any negotiation process. Therefore, we have developed tools that are primarily intended to organize thought through a systematic preparation process. It is very pleasant to see that increasingly more individuals and organizations are including a previous preparation stage in their internal and external negotiation processes. Turning this into a habit directly affects the return on their negotiations.
For the purpose of improving and disseminating tools available for the preparation stage, we have designed an electronic preparation tool to work on the 7 elements of the Harvard Negotiation Model.
This Internet-based tool is available free of charge to all individuals attending our Negotiation workshops. Participants have a user-defined username and password to access the tool thus ensuring confidentiality and restricted log on.
The tool allows users to electronically document their entire negotiation preparation work.
This simple, user-friendly tool helps people get prepared. It also offers the possibility of team preparation on-line, since the person responsible for the preparation may share preliminary notes with other colleagues or collaborators without need for a face-to-face meeting. Thus the document is enhanced by the remote input from different people as they all work on a virtual document.
An additional benefit is that, since all preparation work is documented and saved, the “memory” where the history of all negotiations conducted by each user is recorded is constantly |
